'Everything The President Wants To Do, McMaster Opposes,' Former NSC Official Says

His departure was the latest in a string of exits from the NSC staff under McMaster, who has reportedly sough to purge appointees of Trump's former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

White House aides said they do not know if the purge list represented a genuine plan by a newly-empowered McMaster to root out more staffers or a ruse by pro-Trump activists created to sound the alarm about McMaster's perceived intent to clean house.

US President Donald Trump, right, listens as Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster talks at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Floride, February 20, 2017.

One official told the outlet that the letter "undercuts the president's assertion that Susan Rice's unmasking activity was inappropriate" and argued that "anybody who committed a violation as she did would not be given access to classified information". Then again, the only tweets about the national security adviser that really matter are Donald Trump's.

Amanda Knox pens opinion piece in support of Michelle Carter
On July 12, 2014, a day before Roy was found dead, Carter wrote: "So I guess you aren't gonna do it then, all that for nothing". He said he will also argue Carter didn't break any laws because MA doesn't have a law against assisting or encouraging suicide.

McMaster continued: "So what we have to do is. everything we can to pressure this regime, to pressure Kim Jong Un and those around him such that they conclude it is in their interest to denuclearise". She adds that McMaster, "constantly refers to Israel as the occupying power and insists falsely and constantly that a country named Palestine existed where Israel is located until 1948 when it was destroyed by the Jews". And even that, it works out, wasn't sufficient for McMaster.

"He is a good man and very pro-Israel". "It doesn't work unless we are there for a long time, and if we don't have the appetite to be there a long time, we should just leave". As far as the anti-McMaster effort's chances, there had been reports that Trump was thinking about pulling McMaster from the NSC to put him in charge of the war in Afghanistan, but on Friday night, in a rare, clearly concerted effort for this White House, both the president and Kushner released statements expressing their support for McMaster. On July 21, McMaster dismissed Rich Higgins, a top NSC official who was "seen as an ally of" Bannon, after Higgins wrote a memo claiming that "globalists and Islamists" were trying to undermine Trump, according to The Atlantic.

Also gone is Derek Harvey, who held the Middle East portfolio at the NSC, and who also was an Iran hawk. Last month, McMaster joined Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Defense Secretary James Mattis in persuading Trump to recertify Iran's compliance with the Iran nuclear deal; Trump had been leaning toward decertification, which could trigger a crisis with U.S. allies who favor the deal, struck by Obama.

McMaster, it should be noted, was the Trump administration's most senior representative and speaker earlier this year at the Israeli embassy's annual Independence Day event.
