Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital late Wednesday, has reportedly been put on ventilator support after his condition worsened. "Nothing to worry", explains Udaya Tara Nayar, a close friend of Dilip and Saira Banu, as well as his biographer, said.

The actor is 94, and has been plagued with health-related issues since a few years.

There have been reports that the 94-year-old actor is suffering from a renal ailment. Dilip Kumar has been ill and he has been admitted in hospital.

Earlier, the vice president of Lilavati Hospital, Ajaykumar Pandey spoke to TOI and revealed the condition of the legendary superstar. He said cardiologist Nitin Ghokale and nephrologist Arun Shah are treating the actor.

Dilip Kumar, fondly known as Dilip Saab was last seen in the film Qila in 1998. Known as the tragedy king of Bollywood, Kumar was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India's highest award in cinema, in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan, the country's second-highest civilian award, in 2015.
