Klopp played midfielder James Milner at left-back last season after losing faith in Spaniard Alberto Moreno, whom the Reds are willing to sell this summer.

According to the Mirror, Liverpool have agreed a fee of around £8m with Hull and are expected to complete the move in the coming days.

He made 39 appearances in all competitions last term for the Tigers.

Hull got relegated from the Premier League last season but Andrew Robertson was one of their key players. Given Liverpool's increased number of games this season, there will be plenty of opportunities for Robertson to impress.

Both Hull and Leeds would be suitable destinations for the youngster, who could still have a long-term future under Klopp.

Times correspondent Paul Joyce revealed on his personal Twitter account that the holding midfielder was in fact on his way to sign for Championship side Hull City.

Fulham is arguably still the ideal move for the 20-year-old, who has previously spent time on loan with Wigan Athletic and Wolves.
