The little-known Maute group has been a fierce enemy of a military with superior firepower and greater troop strength. In more than two weeks of fighting, at least 202 people have been killed: 134 militants, 38 troops, and 30 civilians.

Nintendo is now having an wonderful showing at E3 2017 so far, and they continue to impress. Hmm, this might explain why Nintendo shut down that Metroid II fan project. Thankfully, that does not seem to be the case, as Metroid Prime 4 is in development. Sure, there's been the odd forgettable spinoff here and there, including Federation Force for the 3DS and that one game called Other M on the Wii that we wish had never happened. In this re-imagining of the 1991 Game Boy adventure players will be able to destroy the Metroid threat. Again, no release window or other information was given yet, but fans don't have to worry about going another console generation without stepping back into the armor of Samus. The visuals are definitely impressive, especially for a handheld game. Like its predecessor, Metroid: Samus Returns is a side scroller, but it isn't limited to a 2D plane. Still, Apolinario affirmed that themes from the original game wouldn't be removed. Metroid II: The Return of Samus tasked players with exploring the titular Metroid's home planet, code-named SR88, with the sole task of eradicating every last Metroid spawn that resided on the unusual planet.

The live demo has also hinted at the incorporation of several new major abilities as well as some changes to how Metroid II's progress system works. For all we know, it may have just started a few months to a year ago.
