Patty Jenkins Has Not Yet Been Signed as Wonder Woman 2 Director

The remainder of "Wonder Woman" deals with Diana's journey from warrior princess to war hero as she returns to the front with Trevor to join his rag-tag band of special operatives who will lead her to Ares, the God of War, whose destruction - she believes - will bring an end to all conflict.

Gal Gadot is thanking her fans for an awesome weekend, where her movie Wonder Woman was a smash hit success - receiving rave reviews and earning over $100 million at the box office. Jenkins had to fight her Warner Bros. colleagues to keep the No Man's Land scene - aka the best scene of the entire movie - in the film. With Justice League Dark/Dark Universe and Joss Whedon's Batgirl seemingly ahead of a Wonder Woman sequel on the development slate, there looks to be more than enough time to hammer out a new contract. On "The Tonight Show", Jimmy Fallon asked Gadot her delightful story about the audition, but ended up getting a full demonstration of how they used green screen magic for some of the reshot action scenes when Gadot was five months pregnant. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema's "women only" 7 p.m. screening has already sold out, but all gender screenings are still open. All in all, it sounds like a great time to be Patty Jenkins (and a fan of Wonder Woman). Her collection began with her career almost 20 years ago, when she began keeping a Wonder Woman doll on her desk to remind herself that she was capable of being an entrepreneur. However, while Chris Pine's Steve Trevor has played a role just as significant in Wonder Woman as the comics, it turns out that DC was actually thinking of dropping the character off the DCEU installment. Much of the hullaballoo, however, comes from the assertion that Wonder Woman will empower women and encourage the positive "representation" of women that is supposedly so rare in Hollywood. "I want to live in a world where every person... knows (they) can be smart and strong and powerful and kind and all the things that Wonder Woman is". We wanted a man who was a true parallel to Diana.
