Graco recalls over 25400 child vehicle seats

The company says the seat webbing may not restrain the child in the event of a crash.

Graco Children's Products of Atlanta is recalling certain Graco My Ride 65 convertible child restraints for a possible harness webbing problem.

Documents posted Wednesday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration say that agency tests discovered the webbing strength problem.

A top manufacturer of child auto sear products is recalling harness restraints. Graco Children's Products is recalling 1.9 million infant vehicle seats, bowing to demands from USA safety regulators in what is now the largest seat recall in American history.

Only seats with specific "webbing tag codes" and dates of manufacture have been recalled.

The recall is expected to begin July 17.
