Jeff Goldblum to Return for Jurassic World Sequel

The veteran actor previously expressed his interest in joining Jurassic installments previous year, telling fans and press, "Maybe" when asked if he would ever return to reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the classic film.

We don't know how yet, but we do know who - besides bringing back Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm, World 2 will retroactively add a secretive partner to Dr. Hammond (Richard Attenborough), one who first helped him create the dinosaurs. But he did not appear in Jurassic Park III (2001) or the most recent installment of the franchise, Jurassic World. Before that he spread his wisdom and again barely survived a T-Rex attack on Isla Nublar in the 1993 classic Jurassic Park.
