Well, thankfully, it looks like that wrong has been righted, as Jeff has signed up to the sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter, 20 years after he last starred in the Jurassic Park franchise. Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World, wrote the script for the sequel with Derek Connolly.

Director J.A. Bayona recently revealed that Jurassic World 2 will head further towards the horror genre. The Lost World introduced audiences to Malcolm's daughter, Kelly (Vanessa Lee Chester), which brings up an important question: If Malcolm's returning for the next installment in the franchise, shouldn't his daughter also come back? Goldblum joins a cast that features Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Wong returning from the first movie, along with James Cromwell, Toby Jones and Justice Smith. Jurassic World managed to take elements from 1993 classic, and repackage them in a way that felt unique to fans.
