Apple's Replacing Broken iPad 4 Models With the iPad Air 2

If you bought the fourth-generation iPad - the first to launch with the now-ubiquitous Lightning connector back in September 2012 - and need to get it repaired, you could be in for a very nice surprise.

There are, of course, some key differences between the fourth-gen iPad and the iPad Air 2. Whether or not you get an upgrade to an iPad Air 2 will depend on stock in your region.

Apple updated that both the iPad 4 and iPad Air 2 will now be available in 32GB of storage.

Apple's iPad 4 service replacement with the iPad Air 2 is not exactly a universal policy, but it seems to be allowed in low-stock conditions.

A week ago, reports have started circulating about an Apple-wide policy stating that the older iPads that come in for service must be replaced with iPad Air 2 fix stock.

Five dead in Lisbon supermarket plane crash
The plane reportedly exploded soon after takeoff before crashing in the carpark of a Lidl supermarket. Several cars are reported to have caught fire, and TV124 reports that a nearby house also caught fire.

However, in the case of the iPads, 9To5Mac pointed out that Apple retail stores and service centers do not normally fix them so unit replacements are frequently in order. For that reason, users may receive a slight upgrade in storage when getting a replacement in addition to the device's newer and more powerful internals overall. Not long ago they had introduced a gold color option for the iPad Air 2, plus they offer 32 and 128 GB options.

With everything that Apple has to offer right now, it feels like the Apple MacBook Air might be losing its position in Apple's lineup as new report suggest that Apple might be looking to kill off the MacBook Air soon. More importantly, it's certain to be supported by the next major version of iOS, while the iPad 4 is more than likely to be dropped from the support list.

Apple aims to rebrand their Ipad air2with this new launch. The treatment for the said device drags another iPad tier, iPad Air 2.

Replacement is the only viable solution, when Apple Stores and the authorized service providers are unable to perform repairs on a particular iPad.
