Charlie Murphy, the older brother of Eddie Murphy and a comic performer in his own right who acted in movies and turned encounters with celebrities into memorable sketches on "Chappelle's Show", died April 12 in NY.

Sandler called Murphy, Eddie's older brother, "a good person", adding, "I$3 loved him, and my respect to his family...he was the sweetest guy to see and talk to".

"Rest in peace, Charlie Murphy", Chappelle said. "We love you, we love your comedy, we love your stories, and we love your spirit".

According to Relix.com, Mayer welcomed the stand-up comic on the stage during his final song "You're Gonna Live Forever in Me". His comedy career began as a writer and performer on "Chappelle's Show". "So John, today you are a sight for sore eyes".

On Wednesday evening (April 12), news broke that Charlie Murphy lost his battle with leukemia.

This, in turn, the government contended, "impacts her status, her choices, her conduct and her right to a life with dignity". The submissions drawn by advocate Madhvi Divan have been settled by Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi.

He also worked with his younger brother Eddie, co-writing the films Norbert and Vampire In Brooklyn.

"Thanks for the unforgettable stories, Charlie Murphy".

Charlie, who was best known for starring on Dave Chappelle's sketch comedy series Chappelle's Show, passed away at a New York City hospital where he'd been undergoing chemotherapy, his manager told TMZ. After Chappelle's Show, Murphy continued to tour and appear in numerous films and TV projects.

"You can have a way for people to get to know you for real", Mr. Murphy said in the 2010 interview.

"He was doing well, but he contracted pneumonia and that's what took him out".
