A rainbow of fun will dot the grass Saturday as hundreds of children wait at the starting line for the annual city Easter Egg Hunt.

Organizers recommend that parents start lining up their kids at least 15 minutes beforehand as the Easter Egg hunt can end very quickly, some years in about five minutes.

Altrincham town centre is gearing up for a week of free family activities in the run-up to Easter. Spaces are limited, and some events require advanced registration. Bring baskets; wear rain boots in case of muddy fields since the event is held rain or shine.

Families are encouraged to arrive early and so they can snap pictures of their child with the Easter Bunny. There are many places that offer egg hunts, and there are plenty of egg-stra different ideas for children as well as teens, adults and pets.

The first 200 children will receive free chocolate bunnies. The Easter Bunny himself will make an appearance for photos, so be sure to bring your own basket and camera for photos!
