Trump Has Visited His Golf Courses 13 Times as President

On Sunday, Trump went to the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia, marking his 13th trip to a golf course since he took office on January 20.

"POTUS spending weekend working at the White House", the cable network tweeted on Sunday. If he were president, he'd be way too busy for golf, Trump used to say.

The White House wouldn't say Saturday whether Trump played golf during his almost 4½-hour visit.

Prior to that, Trump played golf with Rory McIlroy, who shared the details of the round with No Laying Up, when the administration said Trump was playing just a few holes.

The White House said that Trump's golf trip actually was a series of meetings, but photos posted on Instagram and Twitter show that the president was hitting the links.

He also said that applications for school fees and medical bills were to be approved by banks, within 48 hours of such application.

Despite frequent campaign criticisms of former President Barack Obama's golfing, since his inauguration Trump has spent time golfing at Trump International Golf Club and Trump National Golf Course, both in Florida, in addition to visiting his Virginia golf course, according to CNN.

This is the eighth weekend in a row President Trump has visited a property that bears his name. The White House would not confirm whether the president had played a round of golf. He has done so on 21 of the 66 days he has been in office, according to the Washington Post. He played more golf previous year than Tiger Woods.

Golfweek notes that Trump-who repeatedly criticized then-President Obama for golfing and said that he would be too busy to golf when president-has now visited golf courses 13 times since January 20.

"That's the one thing about golf - you get to know somebody better on a golf course than you will over lunch", he said.
