Rackspace offers Google Cloud Platform support to cover all major cloud bases

Rackspace offers Google Cloud Platform support to cover all major cloud bases

That's the Google Cloud Next conference in San Francisco this morning, where Google Cloud announced a new partner program created to help companies running Windows migrate to its cloud computing platform. Traditionally, elements related to a specific video had to be tagged manually for them to appear in a search. In a way, this new technology is similar to the image search using recognition and processing tools, the only difference being this time it is not just for static images.

Li pointed out how AI and machine learning have come a long way, and that Google's cloud will help enterprises use these capabilities to make their tasks easier.

Google customers can approach machine learning with pre-built APIs, or use TensorFlow and the Cloud Machine Learning platform to build a custom solution.

"We're increasing our investment in many of our existing partner incentive programs, as well as introducing new incentives to support the entire customer lifecycle", states the blog post, written by Google Cloud execs Bertrand Yansouni, vice president of global partner sales and strategic alliances; and Nan Boden, head of global technology partners.

Diane Greene, Google cloud computing chief, said that Google was successfully closing new customer deals, and has added Verizon, HSBC, Colgate and eBay to its growing list of cloud customers.

Lightning trade Filppula for Streit, then ship Streit to Penguins
It was reported by Canada's TVA Sports that Filppula was a part of a bigger deal with the Maple Leafs but rejected the trade. It's no secret the Lightning has been trying to move center Valtteri Filppula - and his $5 million cap hit for next season.

With this new feature, you'll be able to search for videos not based on user generated tags, but by the actual content they contain.

Rackspace has announced that it will become the first managed service partners for the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In another demo, the presenter searched for "beach" and was presented with multiple videos that included beach scenes. The idea behind the service, after all, is to give developers a simple backend-as-a-service platform that frees them from having to build their own infrastructure and maintain their own servers.

"Big data is so powerful that nation-states will fight over [it]", Schmidt said.

First, they write that Google Cloud's (GCP) go-to-market strategy for customers focuses on cost savings, revenue generation, and business process improvement.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but nothing screams "enterprise" like SAP software, so it was an important endorsement for Google's cloud efforts.

Google, with its AI expertise, is presenting itself as the cloud industry player best positioned to help ordinary companies to unlock these benefits - benefits that could be of interest to nation states too. Please don't attempt to duplicate this.
